District's Best Karate Athletes of Purba Bardhaman for 2025 announced

 

The list of Best Karate Athletes of Purba Bardhaman District for the year 2025 is released on the basis of points obtained in official karate championships played by the players according to Purba Bardhaman District Karate Ranking Rules.

This is the fourth time when BKA has announced the district's best karate players in a calendar year. 

An appreciation certificate will be given to the persons who have achieved Highest point in a calendar year in his/her respective individual category. 

Purba Bardhaman District's Best Karatekas of the year 2025 were announced thus recognising the excellence, the perseverance and the remarkable triumphs of the most successful and consistent Karatekas of the last season.

■ Female Kumite: Ishani Gupta

BKA unveils the Official Poster of 7th PBDKC 2026

Bardhaman Karate-Do Association has unveiled the official poster for the 7th Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2026 which will be held at Sri Aurobindo Stadium, Badamtala, Bardhaman on 29th March, 2026. 

To celebrate the Purba Bardhaman District's Authentic, Official and Recognised Karate Tournament, BKA released this well-designed official poster today (17.03.2026). 

Shardul, the Tiger Mascot of PBDKC along with the players who are the last year's official state/zonal/national level Karate Medalists of Purba Bardhaman are featured in this poster to depict the athleticism, skills and passion. The main slogan of PBDKC - "Let's KIAI on Tatami" is written in the poster. The iconic logos of this competition and edition are also included in this poster.

BKA Reveals the 7th Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2026 Logo

The legacy of Karate in our district reaches a new milestone. As we prepare for the 7th Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2026, we are proud to reveal an emblem that captures the very soul of the Japanese "Empty Hand" art - KARATE. This year’s logo is a fusion of fluid motion, district pride, and the unwavering discipline of the karateka.

🔹 The Story Behind the Design

1. The "7" in Motion

This year, the design takes a bold leap in creativity. The numeral "7" has been artistically transformed into a dynamic Karateka performing a high roundhouse kick (Mawashi Geri). The sweeping curve of the "7" forms the body and extended leg, capturing the perfect balance of flexibility and explosive power that defines a champion.

2. A Mark of Mastery

At the center of the action lies the Black Belt (Kuro-Obi). It is more than just a knot; it represents the years of dedication, the transition from beginner to advanced, and the focal point of energy (Hara) from which all karate techniques flow.

3. Rooted in Our Soil

The logo proudly features the geographical map of Purba Bardhaman District, rendered in a deep, professional blue. Flanked by a traditional laurel wreath, it symbolizes the victory and honor that our district’s athletes bring home, grounding this international sport in our local heritage. Also it is the Arms of the karateka logo.

4. The Palette of Competition & Font

The colors chosen for the 2026 edition reflect the intensity of the tatami as well as the color of the Karate opponents:

White & Grey: Representing the Karate-gi, the canvas of a martial artist's journey.

Aka (Red) & Ao (Blue): The iconic colors of competition arena and the guards worn by the players. Red highlights the striking points (hands and feet), mirroring the protective gear used in Kumite. Blue is the Head of the Player which is the District Map which symbolizes calm, focus, reliability, and strategy.

Deep Navy & Crimson: Used in the typography to provide a sense of authority, stability, and passion.

Font: DM Serif Display & a Japanese font have been used here to portray the Martial Art vibe.

BKA Karate Meeting 22.02.2026

 

Bardhaman Karate-Do Association (BKA) conducted a successful online General Meeting on 22.02.2026, bringing together BKA Executive members, Commissions members and all district affiliated Style members.

Led by Renshi Debasis Kumar Mondal (BKA General Secretary), the meeting discussed key topics including appointment of new commissions, preparations for the upcoming District Karate Championship and development of a BKA ranking system.

Everyone actively took part in the meeting and suggested their views. Decisions were taken for the betterment of Purba Bardhaman Karate.
