We are very much delighted to announce that Bardhaman Karate-Do Association has received an annual grant of Rupees 1 Lakh under Khelashree Scheme. 

We are very much grateful to Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Honb'le Chief Minister of West Bengal & the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal for taking such an initiative to strengthen the sports coaching camps by providing financial assistance, to encourage Students & to promote Sport. 

We convey our heartiest thanks to Hanshi Premjit Sen, President of Karate-Do Association of Bengal & also the Department of Youth Services & Sports of Purba Bardhaman District for their guidance & support. 

The grant was released on 8th February, 2021 but the name of the association on the cheque was incorrect. Today (30th September, 2021) we received the corrected cheque. 

The provided Grant will certainly help us to develop the district karate infrastructure & to train Karatekas to take participate in state/national/international level competitions.

Logo Creating Story of the 3rd Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2019:

Explanation of the logo design:

According to the general principle of making BKA district championship logos, taking the first letters of each word of the championship name in English language i.e. Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship (PBDKC) are taken also this time, but this time in a new innovative way. This is the first time where an Art is designed instead of the letter sequel.
Here PBDKC - these 5 letters are designed as a art.
The 3 letters "P", "B" & "D" in a normal way are put on a straight line from top to bottom & "K" (180° rotated) is put on the opposite side of the line. Then "C" is put on the V-shaped end points of inverse "K".

This is also the first time where the logo is colourful. It is Rainbow coloured.

To complete the final logo with the primary information of the competition, the championship name - "3rd Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship", date - "20th October 2019" & venue - "Bardhaman" are written with colourful (red & blue) words with different fonts, sizes & letter cases on the right side of the logo.

Logo Creating Story of the 2nd Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2018:

Explanation of the logo design:

According to the general principle of making BKA district championship logos, taking the first letters of each word of the championship name in English language i.e. Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship (PBDKC) are taken, which was primarily sketched at first.
Here PBDKC - these 5 letters are written horizontally written in a special font on the plane.

Then 2 emojis of "👊" (punch) are inserted in the words "D" & "C" to describe that the Sport is related to Karate & this is the 2nd Season of the championship.

To complete the final logo with the primary information of the competition, the championship name - "2nd Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship", date - "28 October 2018" & venue - "Bardhaman" are written with colourful (red & blue) words with different fonts, sizes & lettercases under the logo, though only the logo (without the information) remains black & white coloured (except the punch emojis).

Logo Creating Story of the 1st Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2017: 

Explanation of the logo design:

According to the general principle of making BKA district championship logos, taking the first letters of each word of the championship name in English language i.e. Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship (PBDKC) are taken. This is the first picture was primarily sketched at first.
Here PBDKC - these 5 letters are written horizontally with a special font on the plane.

Then "1st", a side kick picture & "2017" are inserted in the words "P", "D" & "C" respectively to describe the Championship Season, Sport Karate & the Championship Year. These 3 things are used in 3 letters situated at odd (1st, 3rd & 5th) positions.

To complete the final logo with the primary information of the competition, the championship name - "1st Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship", date - "27 October 2017" & venue - "Bardhaman" are written with colourful (green, red, blue & yellow) words with different fonts, sizes & letter cases under the logo, though only the logo (without the information) remains black & white coloured.

LOGO Creation Story of BKA Championships: 

Introduction:
The game of Karate has evolved far beyond the ordinary perception. In addition to the sport karate aspects, the growth of karate championships are remarkable. However, among all the karate tournaments, the Official District Karate Championship is one of the biggest sporting karate events in every district. In this way, in Purba Bardhaman District, Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship is the only official Karate Championship organised by the one & only authentic Governing Body of Purba Bardhaman District in the field of Karate, i.e. Bardhaman Karate-Do Association (BKA) which has increased its popularity in recent years.

Though Bardhaman District Karate Championship was held in every year from 2010, after the bifurcation of Bardhaman District in 2017, BKA remained as the Governing Body for Purba Bardhaman District in the field of Sport Karate & from 2017 the Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship is going on.

Today we are going to discuss the Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship logo designs created by Bardhaman Karate-Do Association BKA.

Purpose:
Logos are intended to be the face of what it is created for. They’re meant to visually communicate the unique identity of the brand and what it represents. Depending on the design philosophy, simple logos comprised of only essential elements are often the most difficult and also successful. After all, logos need to communicate quite a bit in one visual.

The main purpose of BKA was to create an unique identity of the Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship, to add a new taste & flavour in & to raise the height of the game, to set a new trend to publish new logos, to promote & make Sport Karate popular in Purba Bardhaman District & across the Globe.

Inspiration:
After seeing the logos of different international games, especially Olympic, WKF World Championship & Premiere League, FIFA World Cup, ICC World Cup etc. , BKA decided to launch new logos of its championships.

1st Logo Publication & creating other logos:
BKA published its 1st logo for 3rd Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship 2019 in 2019.

To create a History & make this championship unique & to create a set of district karate championship logos, BKA decided to create & publish the logos for the 1st & 2nd Season of the District Karate Championship, which will be published soon. Though these 2 championships were organised in 2017 & 2018, to create a Series of Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship logos, BKA will publish these logos soon (in 2021).

Logo creating general Idea:
The concept that is taken to create the logos is so simple & innovative.

The first letters of each word of the name of the championship i.e. Purba Bardhaman District Karate Championship (PBDKC) in English language, are used in a letter sequence or as an creative art to design the logo. The competition date, month, year, full name, venue is further added to it to describe the complete primary information of the championships. In some logos karate pose photos may be added. Even only the karate pictures in new styles only be added without using the 5 letter concept.

It may be monochromatic or colourful, white or any other backgrounded, simple or stylish with a best & suitable version & it is depended on the public's acceptance & creator's choice.

There are no definite rules in creating the logos but the innovative or decorative uniqe ideas must be used to create these. Designer(s) must create the logo design that not only look simple but elegant too.

Conclusion:
No matter which sport is played or promoted, a logo captures the attention of the audience.
The tournament logos set a perfect example of how a logo can turn out to be a clear distinctive of its brand. These logos has such a design that it can easily fit in any place (for promotional activities) without any trouble.

Hopefully the PBDKC logo series created by BKA will continue in future with an unique innovative or decorative way, which will be accepted by the public community & will create a history & promote the Karate of Purba Bardhaman District across the world.
